Once you click “Apply for this job," the form should take about 10 minutes to complete. It will include a resume upload, an optional lesson video upload and two short answer responses.
What to Expect
When the form is submitted, you can expect the following:
1. You will receive an email confirming that you have joined the TeachOakland pool.
2. Hiring managers from various Oakland schools will review your submission and reach out to you if they are interested in considering you for a particular opening for 2018-2019. You may be contacted anytime during the hiring season (February - April).
3. If there is mutual interest, you will complete the selection process according to the established protocols of that particular school.
4. Once you are hired, TeachOakland will continue to serve as a resource for you to navigate credentialing and/or relocation, connect with other educators new to Oakland, and access ongoing professional development opportunities.
